Augie was found during a hike on the Augie trail. Her foster fell in love with her, and Augie became a foster failure. Augie has a best friend that is a kitty cat, and she loves to give lots of kisses and snuggles to her human mom. She is a spunky spoiled little princess. She loves to hang out in her little castle and play with her toys.
She is living her best life in her forever home.
Acorn came into our Rescue, and it was as if he was sent by her fosters beloved Sunny. The timing was divine. She began fostering him in August and initially, she was unsure if he would become a permanent member of her family because she didn't think her girls would get along with a boy in their space. However, after a few weeks, her girls started sleeping next to his enclosure and even giving kisses through the walls. It was then she realized that Acorn would fit in perfectly. He is the sweetest of them all, always seeking and reciprocating love. Finally, Mr. Acorn has found his forever home and they can now live a peaceful and happy life together.
Jojo and Gus Gus, now known as Allan and Ken (inspired by Barbie's iconic duo), were our longest residents. After being left behind by their previous owners, these scared buns found safety with our rescuers. They were adopted once before but returned due to allergies.
Their new family said, "We knew we had the time and space in our lives for a pet - we thought on it for literal years and finally decided we wanted to take in a pair of buns. And these two are perfect! Ken and Allan fit perfectly in our home, and we couldn't be happier to give them all the love they deserve!"
Now living their BEST LIFE, Allan and Ken are radiating joy in their forever home. It's a testament to the power of love and the incredible impact adoption can have on the lives of our furry friends. Join us in celebrating this third chance and the beginning of a beautiful forever for Allan and Ken!
Kayla and her family adopted Luna! For months her and her friend Julian researched EVERYTHING they could about bunnies. They had little hope that they were going to get one, but they still decided to add it to their Christmas list. She even made a presentation on why Luna was the perfect fit. She did all the research and watched lots of videos provided by our Rescue. They had fallen in love instantly and knew she was perfect. They then quickly bought all the supplies and adopted Luna. She got comfortable pretty fast, and they got to know her personality. Every day they all cuddle with her and give her treats! She has become the perfect addition to their family!
After a long journey of searching, Marshmallow our white fluffy lionhead, finally found her forever home. She now lives happily with her new bunny sisters and receives endless love and snuggles from her bunny parents. Her new home is filled with joy, and she loves to dig in her dig box and play with her collection of toys. Her love for treats and veggies knows no bounds, but her favorite activity is cuddling with her new mom while watching TV. Marshmallow couldn't be happier in her new loving and cozy home.
Benny, with his charm and playful nature, has found the ideal partner in Junie. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Benny's new family for opening their hearts and homes to another rescue bun. Your decision to adopt means so much to us and to the bunnies!
We wish Benny and Junie a life filled with endless binkies and snuggles, and we thank all of you for helping us make wonderful moments like this possible.
Coco, our black beauty has found her fur ever home and her new bestie Fuzzley. They are still warming up to each other but love to hang out next to each other through the pen.
Her new family says they are so happy to have Coco in their house as she is a sweet, docile bunny. It took her a bit to warm up to the changes, but her trust is building every day. We see lots of fun adventures with these two in their future.
Stumpy, the lil snuggle bun has found his fur ever home and his two new besties Coco (previous DBR rescue) and Fuzzley. Stumpy has really fallen in love with Coco but is still warming up to Fuzzley but they love to hang out next to each other through the pen.
His new family says they are so happy to have Stumpy join their fluffle. We see lots of fun adventures with these three in their future.
Jupiter, our adorable REW bunny, has found his forever family! Jupiter was one of the first bunnies we rescued, and now he gets to enjoy a life filled with love and care. His new human parents are just absolutely smitten with him (even though he likes to eat all the tags off all the squishmallows). He loves to cuddle and fall asleep in his new mom's arms.
He knows he is safe now, which is what Mr. Jupes deserves.
Wednesday started as a foster and she found that she just needed to be close to Jupiter. They now spend their days getting spoiled by their human and giving each other lots of snuggles.
Their story coming soon.
This is a space where Dutchie Buns Rescue will post Bunnies to remember that are no longer with us.
Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is honored every August 28th, when countless pet owners remember and celebrate the beloved pets that are no longer with them. This special day recognizes that while our pets have passed on, they are never forgotten.
We want everyone to remember that sometimes no matter how much love, care, and knowledge you have things happen and our furry companions won't live forever (as much as we would like them too). We must focus on the now and show them all the love and care we can with the time we have with them.

Miss Gigi was one of our core team members (Rachel) personal bunnies. She was her baby girl. Gigi loved to get groomed and loved on by her husbun Potter. She was a diva and a sassy girl. She lived a very spoiled long life. She will be greatly missed and took a part of her human's heart with her.

Miss Finnley came into our rescue, and from the moment she hopped in, she brought us joy and challenges alike. This loss is especially poignant for us, as it's the first time we're saying goodbye since we started this rescue journey. It's a reminder that life is fragile, and sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we can't control the outcome.
Finnley battled some tough GI issues, but she was a fighter! From frequent vet visits to special diets and supplements, we did everything we could to help her thrive. She had plenty of love, attentive care, and lots of snuggles and attention from her foster family and bond mate, Stumpy. Finnley passed away due to fecal impaction.

Miss Rukia was one of our core team members (Ashley) personal bunnies. She was her baby girl and had her for 11 years. Ru loved to spend hours just laying with her human Ashley cuddling and watching tv. She especially loved getting lots of pets and snuggles. She was especially talented in tricking her human dad in giving her two treats with being so cute. She lived a very spoiled long life and was a month shy of her 13th birthday. She will be greatly missed and took a part of her human's heart with her.
